Here at Platform we are extremely lucky to be able to visit clients in their homes and provide a level of care whilst they are unable to come into Platform. We are achieving this by going into the home for a time period specified by the parents/carers and providing services which we would also give them in Platform, this ranges from Arts and Crafts to sensory play and even pamper sessions.
This has helped our clients to still be able to have a level of interaction outside of just their family this has been achieved by seeing staff members who help carry out the activities, also by seeing clients on their community visits when they drop the care packages and even by having video calls with everyone in platform (if they wanted). By providing this we've helped both the family and the clients feeling included and part of the Platform family.
