Health, leisure & fitness

We have daily access to an on-site hydrotherapy pool. Hydrotherapy sessions are both pleasurable and therapeutic allowing individuals to move freely and independently around the water.

We work closely with the Community Team for Learning Disabilities who offer services such as community nursing, epilepsy, physio therapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.

Partnerships and links we have built in the community, schools and colleges, have enabled our participation in shared events; the Duke of Edinburgh award, the Colours of Music Project a weekly on-site horticulture club and food technology which includes cooking activities, shopping and money management.

Sensory room

Our sensory room is both stimulating and relaxing; it combines a range of stimuli to help our young people to develop and engage their senses though lights, colours and sounds all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk.

The Inclusion of eye gaze equipment enables the user to change the dynamics of the room with the movements of their eyes. The technology can also enable users to interact with the sensory environment around them.
